Hickory, NC-based Shurtape Technologies, a producer of pressure sensitive tapes, has expanded its sales team, supporting the Industrial & Construction Channel, with the additions of John Erwin as national channel manager and Nick Baloun as senior national account manager.

As national channel manager, Erwin is responsible for the development, growth and success of Shurtape’s Industrial & Construction business, leveraging over 30 years of experience in this industry. He was most recently employed by Apex Tool Group, where he spent seven years as Southeast regional manager.

Prior to Apex, he founded Erwin Sales & Associates, a manufacturer’s rep agency which represented manufacturers with distributors in STAFDA and industrial channels in five states, and was also employed by Danaher Tool Group as a regional sales manager and director for the industrial channel. He began his career with Stanley Tool Company, gaining experience by serving as regional manager, marketing manager for Stanley Brand, and national and key account manager.

Baloun’s focus as senior national account manager is on delivering high-quality tape solutions to a variety of national accounts within the Industrial & Construction Channel, drawing on his 15 years of experience in managing industrial sales and national accounts. He also comes from Apex Tool Group, where he has served in a variety of roles over the past eight years, including national account manager.
